The Coast of Death (Costa da Morte)

My village, Lires, is located on the Costa da Morte (Cost of Death), one of the greenest and most peaceful spots in northen Spain.

The name Costa da Morte is because there have been countless shipwrecks along its rocky shores, at least 60 ships in just over 100 years.

It is also the place where you can see the last ray of sunshine in Europe and certainly where you can see the most spectacular sunsets, as this one taken in Lires.

Costa da Morte has spectacular rugged landscapes, rural and stunning beaches of white sand, the ideal place for anyone looking to escape the everyday stress of the big cities in one of the most beautiful natural setting of Spain, it’s without a doubt our particular paradise.
