Good Friday is a mournful day, commemorating the Passion of Christ.
The Epitaphios, or Epitaphios Thrinos in Greek, is the Good Friday evening Orthodox service.
Throughout Greece, the Passion of the Christ is revived in various religious traditions, in every town or village.
Train stops at Venezia Santa Lucia railway station.
Exit the station and head to the water taxi station in front of you.
Look for Route 1 or 2.
Largest boats stop at every station along the Grand Canal.
It takes 30 – 45 minutes to reach the end stop, depending if you are aboard the fast ship or not.

On the moring of March 8 2017, the Azure Window in Malta vanished.
It collapsed around 9.40am. after being hit by heavy storms.
The cliff stood as the flagship landmark of the island of Gozo, with thousands of daily visitors.
Back in January 2017, rough seas had already done their damage,with a part of the base rock being broken, but people kept on walking on the cliffs.
Environment Minister of Malta said that no man-made intervention could have prevented the disaster. Now it is gone and lost gorever.

Tuesday morning January 10 found the city unprepared to deal with the sudden snowfall.
Hours of dense snow covered even the city’s center pavements and streets with white.
People were told to leave their works and head back home.
This event led to endless traffic jams.
